Built upon a solid billet base of aluminum with a Composite Teflon platter, damped by silicone oil, the Model A Testa Rossa is the original Redpoint Turntable. A 12V DC motor with precious metal brushes and sleeve bearings powered exclusively by battery provides optimum sonic performance. The Testa Rossa's standard finish is black. Other finishes, including custom metal platings, colored powdercoat and anodized finishes are also available. Older designs (including the PVC II, Drilled Aluminum and PVC Composite platters) are available as delete options. We custom design arm pods for the customer's chosen tonearm. Arm pictured below is a Tri-Planar Mk7 Transfiguration Temper V Cartridge. Additional arm pods may be purchased to accommodate additional arms. Total weight: ~90 lbs., depending on customized options.
